About Anjelica
Anjelica Søndergaard (1975) grew up in a suburban area called Hvidovre, just outside the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen.
The power of the written words has always fascinated Anjelica. That stories can paint vivid images, evoke specific emotions in readers or make someone completely disappear into another world, if only for a moment.
That’s almost magical.
The driving force behind the establishment of the company SoMe for Beginners is rooted in a profound fascination with the written word, which has also spurred Anjelica’s journey into authorship.
Her debut novel Turkish Delight, which launched her writing career, is a huge declaration of love for both women’s friendship and the magic that comes when you say yes to the adventures of everyday life.
The inspiration came from countless holidays in Turkey with family and friends for over 20 years. Throughout the journeys, an abundance of amusing and outrageous tales and experiences has been collected and written down, featuring a diverse array of individuals and scenarios.

Work/Carriere:
With a broad professional background in both digital marketing, communication and personal development, Anjelica launched the company SoMe for Beginners in 2020. Here, small companies and authors alike are taught various skills, including the art of storytelling in Social Media posts and the intricacies of managing book reviews and promoting their works.
Anjelica founded her own micro-publishing company, Forlaget Siff, in January 2024, where all of her own writing will be published moving forward.
Fun-Facts about the auther:
- Spend almost all her time at the local library as a child and young teenager. (And most likely has an unofficial local record in the number of books borrowed and read per week!).
- Have not yet met a person who did not have at least one interesting story to tell.
- Has never really grown up, (according to the conventional norms), and still loves computer games, costume parties, amusement parks, superhero movies, cocktails with colourful umbrellas and dancing until the early morning.
- Has always done things in her own way, and has chosen a life where travel, career, introspection, interesting experiences and personal freedom plays the main characters.
- Lives in a cosy townhouse with four lazy shelter cats and a small school of fish in an aquarium.
- Was over 40 years old before she figured out what she wanted to be when she “grew up”.
- Loves dark humour, quirky people and tall tales.
- Since her early teens, she has dreamed of publishing a book. (And she still can’t quite believe that her dream has now come true in her very first attempt to write a novel!).
Turkish Delight was published 19. May 2023 by Forlaget Brændpunkt – Future releases will be published by Forlaget Siff.
